The 48 Hour Film Project returns to the Hollywood Theatre August 15th & August 16th with screenings at 7:00 and 9:30 nightly. Each screening features 14 different films by some of the Northwest’s most talented and adventurous filmmakers.
The 48 Hour Film Project is a wild and sleepless weekend in which you and a team make a movie—write, shoot, edit and score it—in just 48 hours. On Friday night, you get a character, a prop, a line of dialogue and a genre, all to include in your movie. 48 hours later, the movie must be complete.
This year, 56 teams from the Greater Portland area took the challenge to create short films in only 48 hours. On Friday, August 10th, all teams drew their genres from the cruel hat of fate, and were assigned the same character, prop, and line of dialogue to include in their films. You will be truly amazed at the results this pressure cooker of creativity cooks up!
Don't forget, YOU the audience, determine the coveted Audience Favorite Awards for each screening group! AND there will be also a short Q and A with the filmmakers at the end of each screening!
The 2012 Portland 48 Hour Film Project culminates with the “Best of Portland” at 7PM on Monday August 27th.
