Part of the Tuesday Night Free Lecture series at The Jack London. Tour guide and freelance writer Joe Streckert will provide a brief history of Portland's African-American community in general with a focus on Albina, especially the latter half of the twentieth century. The talk will also touch on particularly on the Vanport flood and the Providence developments, as well as the current controversies surrounding N Williams.
