Pietro Belluschi: A Son's Insights into His Life and Work
by Anthony Belluschi FAIA, son of Pietro, designer and co-curator of The Architecture and Legacy of Pietro Belluschi

Admission: Free to Multnomah County Residents / $11.00 General
(Admission to the lecture is included in regular museum admission)

Pietro Belluschi FAIA (1899–1994) was one of Oregon’s leading architects, nationally recognized as a prominent contributor to the style known as Pacific Northwest Regionalism and as a renowned Modernist.

With over forty years of practice as an architect himself, Pietro's son, Tony, has a unique perspective on his father’s life and work. Tony will share his memories of Pietro as a father, adviser, mentor and friend, and also give insights about Pietro's influence on architecture and our built environment.

This presentation will highlight new perspectives gained while researching Pietro's career for the Oregon Historical Society exhibit. He will also discuss items displayed at OHS that are from the family's private collection. After the presentation, Tony will provide a brief walk-through of the exhibit for those who are interested.
