Join ORhistory.com's Resident Historian Doug Kenck-Crispin as he explores the historical record of Bigfoot sightings in the Beaver State!
They will examine Native American myths and archeological artifacts to establish (or not) a footing of a big ol' primate in our state's heritage. Early newspaper accounts are highlighted, as are modern day sightings - which unfortunately often involve Sasquatch being either shot at or hit by a car - the poor big fella. And they'll watch a movie!
Biologists and zoological types will also be in attendance, and will explain just how a big, stinky primate could (or could not) fit within our ecological environs, and what role that (presumed) beast would play.
AND it's Kick Ass Oregon History and The Jack London Bar's FIRST anniversary! So we will be serving FREE CAKE!! Come on down and join us as we get to the bottom of this Bigfoot Business, while enjoying a piece of cake!
