San Francisco’s Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR) launched the “Safe Enough to Stay” project to spotlight the imperative role of shelter-in-place efforts after an urban disaster.
Structural engineer David Bonowitz, a member of SPUR’s Safe Enough to Stay Task Force, will describe the initiative and implications for Portland. Introduced and moderated by Carmen Merlo, Director of Portland’s Bureau of Emergency Management.
