the cortandfatboy Midnight Movie: Cinco de Lebowski VII
Admission: $3.00 Regular, $10.00 VIP (available online)
Portland's homegrown, homebrewed Festival of Abide ambles its way back to the Bagdad Theater for the seventh straight year, as Cort Webber and Bobby Roberts of the cortandfatboy podcast once again present CINCO DE LEBOWSKI, a celebration of the Coen Bros. cult classic, and of The Dude himself.
The Bagdad is fully prepared for the influx of Achievers: Cream and Kahlua has been stocked up, bands have been booked, and VIPs get a catered experience even Bunny Lebowski would appreciate: Attendees who pre-purchase VIP tickets online ($10 admission as apposed to the regular $3 admission at the door) will not only gain early admission, they'll be served a variety of hors d'oeuvres and beverages at no extra cost, get played into the theater by a marching band, and enjoy the music of Portland's Here Come Dots as they take their seats and nosh on their munchies, and wrapping up the pre-show festivities will be the bluesy, grimy swamp-rock of Rich Layton and the Troublemakers.
Costumes are not only encouraged, they're expected. And if you think your costume idea is too outlandish, it isn't: Previous attendees have arrived as White Russian ingredients, Bunny Lebowski's toe, and Larry's Father, complete with wheeled, light-up iron lung.
