The Stumptown Saturday After Party is a bigger deal this year than ever before, thanks to their fantastic sponsor, Oni Press!
The party kicks off at 7 with free snacks and two no-host bars.
At 7:30 they'll begin the first part of the Stumptown Comic Art Awards, with host Bobby Roberts. This year they're breaking the awards into two segments to keep the party fun and moving.
At 8:00 Mike Allred's rock band The Gear takes the stage for an extremely rare and totally kick-ass performance, and after the set, they'll wrap up the second segment of the Comics Art Awards.
At 10:00 the rowdiest part of the party gets started with the annual Stumptown Comic Art Battle, hosted this year by Boilerplate and Frank Reade artist Paul Guinan.
The party is being held both to celebrate the most awesome gathering of comics enthusiasts in Portland AND to raise funds for three very worthy organizations — Stumptown's non-profit education foundation, the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, and the IPRC's Dylan Williams Scholarship fund.
