RMS Titanic, Inc. in partnership with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and other leading oceanographic experts, embarked on what is arguably the most technologically advanced and scientific expedition to Titanic ever organized. The mission endeavored to create the most detailed portrait of the Titanic wreck site to date, “virtually raising” this beloved Ship to share what only a privileged few have been able to witness firsthand. Co-expedition leader P.H. Nargeolet will give a presentation chronicling the 2010 dive to the wreck site and highlighting their remarkable expedition discoveries.
P.H. Nargeolet is director of Underwater Research for RMS Titanic, Inc. and is widely acknowledged as the leading authority on the Titanic wreck site. A veteran leader of five previous journeys to the wreck, Nargeolet has completed 30 Titanic dives, supervising the recovery of some 5,500 artifacts along the way, including the recovery of the “Big Piece,” a 20-ton section of Titanic’s hull featured on both the Discovery Channel and NBC Dateline. RMS Titanic, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. (NASDAQ: PRXI), is the only company permitted by law to recover objects from the wreck of Titanic.
