Re-Run Theater presents:
Saturday Mornings at Night: Americana
For the adult child in all of us we celebrate that ritual so many generations enjoyed in the era of three-channel-only network television: the Saturday Morning Cartoon!
This installment will feature ancient, bizarre and slightly offensive Looney Tunes from the World War II era, an episode of the preachy ghetto cartoon classic “Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids” and the somewhat rare premiere episode of one the most awesome action cartoons of all: “Thundarr the Barbarian.”
Plus more of those insane commercials, episodes of “School House Rock” (‘cos learning can be fun and knowledge is Power!) and other Saturday Morning shows TBA! Bring your boxes of Fruity Pebbles and Count Chocula, pour a glass of Strawberry Quick in your Underoos and veg out in front of the biggest, most awesome TV set in Portland!
Re-Run Theater's primary goal is to exhibit old, rare, oddball television with an emphasis on children’s programming from the 1970′s and 80′s, complete with vintage commercial interruptions. This will include Saturday Morning Cartoons, Live Action, Holiday Specials, After School Specials and Series, Educational Shows and all the hilarious advertisements that came along with them. Prepare to be transported back in time to an era and a mindset.
