Zombies all over the globe have are getting ready to Thrill The World 2011! Each year thousands of people around the world come together to honor the genius of Michael Jackson and raise funds for charity–oh! and to have fun, too!
Participants all dance to “Thriller” at exactly the same moment across the world. Preparation is part of the fun but the feeling of being connected to people thinking and doing the same thing at the same time, celebrating a true inspirational genius of Michael Jackson, is what keeps people coming back year after year. Also, knowing what bad dancers Zombies are, it helps people renew or even discover the joy of dance, without worrying about whether they are “good.”
Michael was all about giving back so Thrill the World: Portland is a fundraiser for SMYRC, the Sexual Minority Youth Resource Center in NE Portland. We will gratefully accept donations to SMYRC at both Thrill the World, and the Zombie Walk.
