Two separate tours of approximately 45 minutes in length will be running constantly throughout the evening. Tours will occur rain or moon-shine from 6:00-9:00pm
Join the Friends of Lone Fir for Lone Fir Cemetary's annual Halloween event! There will be tours of the pioneer cemetery in which visitors can meet some of the Cemetery's "residents" and learn about Portland's history and the people who contributed to its early years. Costumed reenactors play the parts of various personages who lived in the 19th century and helped make Portland what it is today, rich and poor, men and women, well known and obscure. Its a unique way to spend your Halloween night and learn about local history at the same time.
This year's theme is Untimely Demises, so the personages you will meet all died unexpectedly in unique ways. So come and learn with the Friends of Lone Fir's unconventional historical review and tour.
