As the founding city of the now international event, the PDX Browncoats are proud to be hosting their 6th annual Can’t Stop The Serenity. Each year the PDX Browncoats, as well as other Browncoat groups around the country and world, host a screening of Joss Whedan's film Serenity, based on the Joss Whedon's scifi show Firefly.
This year, the PDX Browncoats have extra surprises in store! In addition to Serenity, they will be screening Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog. They also welcome special guest Patric Reynolds, the artist for the Serenity comic Float Out!
Proceeds from each Can't Stop the Serenity event benefit Equality Now, Joss Whedon's favorite charity which works to promote rights for women and girls around the world. This year's screening will also benefit the Oregon Humane Society, NAMI: National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Raphael House.
