Kickass Oregon History: The Hanging of Danford Balch
Historian Doug Kenck-Cripin (Kick Ass Oregon History) will be telling the story of the Hanging of Danford Balch, the first man legally hanged in Oregon. Meanwhile, local artist Jim Hill will be live drawing at the event; and his credentials are impeccable as the creator of the soon to be released "The Dead Don't Die", a spaghetti western zombie apocalypse graphic novel. Then finally, to really set the mood, the bluegrass band Left Coast Country will be playing live music.
For more information on Danford Blach, check out Kickass Oregon History's podcast on the subject.
