Emerald City Comicon (ECCC), the Northwest’s premier comic book and pop culture convention, is a three-day, all-ages event with an anticipated 25,000 people in attendance. Fans of comic books, animation, gaming, science fiction, fantasy and good ole American pop-culture-people-watching descend on the Washington State Convention Center for this annual extravaganza.
The ECCC is known for bringing multiple award-winning artists, writers and actors together under one roof. And attendees are given the rare opportunity to meet their favorite creative personalities first-hand, creating a truly unique experience year after year. Over the past eight years, the ECCC has grown by more than 20% each year to become the largest comic book and pop culture convention in the Northwest. 2011 promises to be bigger and better than ever with a knockout list of celebrity heavyweights including: William Shatner (Star Trek, Boston Legal); John Noble (Fringe, Lord of the Rings); James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville); Bruce Boxleitner (Tron, Babylon 5); Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: TNG ) and Brent Spiner (Star Trek:TNG); Felicia Day (The Guild, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-Long Blog); Amy Okuda (The Guild); Jasika Nicole (Fringe); Nicholas Brendan (Buffy the Vampire Slayer); Sean Patrick Flanery (The Boondock Saints) and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead). Comic and industry guests include: Cully Hamner (co-creator of Red with Bruce Willis), Mike Mignola (Hellboy creator); JG Jones (co-creator of Wanted with Angelina Jolie); Ben Templesmith (co-creator of 30 Days of Night); Bruce Timm (head of Warner Bros. animation)
